This iris displays a registered height of 34 inches (86 cm), making it a medium-sized iris that adds elegance to the garden. It blooms in the late season, offering a captivating display towards the end of the iris blooming period. The flower form of Living Legend is described as bubble ruffled, which adds texture and dimension to its blooms. It showcases a beautiful blend of violet and white in its color classification. The white standards are tinted with blue and feature a narrow gilt gold halo at the edge. The falls are predominantly white but exhibit an extremely wide deep blue-violet band, creating a striking contrast.
